The heating rail has a protection rating IPX4
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Please follow the supplied installation instruction.
The heated rail can be installed with concealed connector cable (standard) or with visible connector

Questions and Answers:
Q: Can the rail be switch on continuously?
A: Yes, the heated rail draws minimal current and can run continuously, be used seasonally or only as immediately required.
Q: Can I dry damp clothing on the rail?
A: Yes – damp towels and clothing can be dried but bear in mind that the heated rail is an electrical appliance and should be used with caution.
Q: Where should the rail be switched from?
A: For convenience we recommend the switching is done at the same location as the bathroom light switch. Heated towel rail switches are commonly available and come with an easy to see ON indicator light. Switching the rail off when not in use will save electricity.
Q: Will the heated rail rust in a damp bathroom environment?
A: No, the rail is constructed from 304 stainless steel tubing which will withstand the moist environment.
Q: Has the heated rail been tested and to what standards does it comply?
A: Yes, our heated rails are tested and comply with the applicable standard namely SABS IEC 60 335-2-43.
Q: Where should the electrical junction box be located?
A: We suggest that the mounting position is physically checked with the heated rail before the electrician makes provision for the supply cable. Consideration should be given to possible concealed plumbing or electrical piping in the wall. Check that the tiling will not affect the height of the 4 legs.
(We can also supply uneven length legs on request).
Q: Are round junction box covers available for all legs?
A: Yes, an additional 3 round leg covers can be ordered if you prefer it that way.
Q: Can I install the rail as a D.I.Y. project?
A: Yes, if the supply cable is taken through the wall and plugged into a plug socket outlet. Connection to mains supply requires all pole switching type switches and must be undertaken by qualified personnel.
Q: How hot will the rail get and can I burn myself or clothes?
A: No, the unit is designed to stabilise below 55°C which is safe to the touch and to fabrics.
Q: How long does the heated rail take to get hot?
A: Very quickly! This is because the element heats air only and will reach operational temperature within
5 – 10 minutes. |

Stunning Bathroom Fittings Heated
Towel Rails:
Our heated rails use a heating element running throughout the heated rail ensuring even and controlled distribution of heat.
Carefully matched heating element to rail size ensures no hot spots.
No fluid in the rail ensures there cannot be any fluid leaks.
The running temperature settles below 55°C which is an ideal balance between consumption and operational efficiency.
The rail is constructed from grade 304 stainless steel tubing which is a most suitable material for a bathroom environment.
Rails are designed to be run continuously with switching at the power source.
Our rails have no internal switching contacts or electronic temperature switch gear. They require switching at the power source only.
All rails undergo comprehensive mandatory testing and comply with local and international standards.
All rails are covered by our
5 year guarantee. |
